💙 Antique 17" Papier Mache Composition Cloth Body Boy Doll~ Ethnic Costume~ I'm just not sure which culture! I've looked at so many, maybe Greek, Czech or Gypsy? I just love him, he is very unique.
I cannot find a mark, but i think he might have been from Germany. It's hard to tell when he was made.
His face paint is beautiful, he has rose bud lips and wispy eyelashes.
His clothes are in good condition.
I've studied hard to get info on him. I can't determine if his head is of composition or paper mache, it needs a little tlc~ please see pics. There are chips and some gouge spots, see pics.
His body is soft, limbs and boots are made of oil cloth, they are solid and in very good condition.

🌹I buy things from all over the country, and some outside the US, I do not know the history of each piece. Often these clothes and dolls have been stored for 50 years or more, they may have a musty odor and just need to be aired out in the sunshine- i try to do that before i sell them. I have multiple sclerosis and it effects my sense of smell, i may miss something...just let me know BEFORE OPENING A CASE!
