    Item Descrpiotion
    This is the highly sought after original version of the DM-2 Delay pedal.
    The DM-2 Delay is the first analog delay in the BOSS compact series.
    The delay time is 20m sec to 300m sec, which is not as long as the 800m sec maximum of the DD-2 Digital Delay, which was released two and a half years later, but the warm analog sound is very attractive.
    It is one of the most popular vintage BOSS compact effectors.
    The sound of the DM-2 Delay
    When it comes to the sound of the DM-2 analog delay, the phrase "warm and soft" always comes up.
    However, the warm and soft sound and atmosphere of analog delays was made by accident.With the technology and analog delay elements available at the time of the DM-2's release, it was necessary to remove a large amount of the frequency range in order to create a delay sound that repeats for as long as 300ms.This degradation of the delay sound is the essence of the warmth and softness of the sound that is the greatest appeal of analog delays. In particular, the corners of the high notes, which are easy to hear, have been removed, and the sound has become soft and mild. It turned out all right in the end.
    The delay element of the DM-2
    The core of a delay is made up of two parts: the delay element and the clock driver.
    The earlier model is a pair of MN3005 and MN3101.
    The later model is a pair of MN3205 and MN3102.
    The earlier model has a milder sound, and the later model has a clearer sound with less noise. Both have great sound.
