    This scarce1890s "Robert Emmet" litho hinged 50 cigar tin in very good condition with no dents or rust and some minor age related paint scrapes and chips.  The hinge and latch are in excellent working order. with no dents or rust and some minor age related paint scrapes and chips.  The hinge and latch are in excellent working order.  This very attractive brown tin is made to resemble a steamer trunk complete with a working latch, faux leather crazing and straps, as well as travel stickers.  The interior lid features a portrait of Robert Emmet (1778-1803), an Irish nationalist and rebel leader against the British who was executed for treason in 1803.  The cigars were manufactured by the Hummel Cigar Company, Binghamton, NY in Factory 760, 21st District, NY.
